Ebrahim College

Ebrahim College (EC) has been successfully running the Makka Twin Peaks Challenge since its inception in 2006. The challenge was initially designed to raise funds for EC by taking family, friends and well-wishers of the college on the trip and asking them to raise sponsorships for the two climbs.

Since then, the challenge has been taken up by members of the public who wish to perform Umrah and climb the two historical mountains. As well as the Umrah and mountain climbs, we offer elements of education as we are an educational institute. These three aspects of the Makka Twin Peaks Challenge make the initiative unique and appealling to the Muslim community.

This year we’re continuing to raise money for Ebrahim College’s Development plan as well as planting olive trees in Palestine in partnership with Human Appeal International. So this is a fantastic opportunity for you to come onboard and raise monies for two great causes and perform Umrah with scholars.

Our annual fundraising target of £500,000 wlll help contribute to the following:

Purchase the college (Ebrahim college) building – The Square Ft Sale
Improve the college’s infrastructure, providing students with the necessary tools to excel and grow
Keep course fees affordable allowing more students to access the unique educational programme.

Make a donation: this can be any amount
Make a regular contribution; set up a standing order
Qarde Hasan loan £3000 for a period of at least two years: most people have some money put away in a bank where it does nothing. The beauty of a Qarde Hasan loan is that you will earn rewards for the hereafter as well as get your money back. Just give us 4 weeks notice when you need your money back and we will repay you.
Volunteer: We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our work. Not only is this a great opportunity for you to provide hands-on help in a worthy cause, it also contributes to your personal development with soft and hard skills and looks great on your CV.

Human Appeal International

PLANT AN OLIVE TREE IN PALESTINE This year, we are working in partnership with Human Appeal International (HAI) in an exclusive campaign to plant olive trees in Palestine.

The olive (zaytoun) possesses many benefits and its trees are self sustaining. The fruit, oil and herbs, as well as the roots of olive trees have been used for hundreds of years for medicinal purposes. Olive oil contains cure and is mentioned in the Qur’an various times.

In Palestine olive trees are not only a source of food for families but also a source of income. HAI provides olive trees to families who are in need of income generation which gives them the means to support themselves in a place, and at a time, when it is difficult to find work. Olive trees enable them to produce not only the fruit and oil but also soap and herbs which can be used by the family and sold.

50% of the money you raise will go towards planting olive trees in Palestine!
