Ebrahim College‘s £1‚000‚000 appeal

Dear Supporter of Islamic Education‚
Ebrahim College (EC) is an Islamic sixth form that offers school leavers and adults alike the opportunity to study both traditional Islamic Sciences and mainstream A-Level and GCSE subjects in an Islamic environment. We are proud that over the past two years our A-level students have achieved 100% pass rates‚ alhamdulillah. In 2006 EC also launched a full Alim course making it a centre of Islamic learning from which the Ulama and Imams of the future will graduate. The Alim course will be offered in conjunction with a ‘BA in Islamic Sciences and Society‘. Despite our academic success however, EC constantly struggles to make ends meet financially as the College is not supported by the Government. We charge our students fees which are heavily subsidised by the College in order to keep courses affordable for our young students and their guardians. This ultimately results in a negative cash flow for the College. As a result, the College currently has a deficit of over £200,000 that needs to be raised immediately. For this EC has launched a £1,000,000 campaign to help raise the necessary funds to build a secure future for the College, its students and the community it serves.

The £1,000,000 campaign aims to:

  • Purchase the college building
  • Improve the college‘s infrastructure, providing students with the necessary tools to excel
  • Keep course fees affordable allowing more students access to our unique educational programme

    • Hadrat Abu Huraira (RA) reported Allah‘s Messenger (SAWS) as saying: "Among the actions and good deeds for which a believer will continue to receive reward after his death are knowledge which he taught and spread, a good son whom he left behind‚ or a copy of the Qur'an which he left as a legacy…"(Ibn Majah and Baihaqi)
